7 myths about blogs and bloggers

Blogging is like running a small restaurant. To a merchant its a risky business but to most, its a place to chill out with friends and have fun. Rarely will they see beyond the delicious meals and well laid tables.

So, blogs are likely to create many misconceptions, some can be good, some bad while others could be exaggerated. Also due to the stories they share plus the fancy image they create with their colourful articles, they may seam real than they are supposed to be. So today we will be uncovering 7 myths about blogs and bloggers.


1. They are snoopers

We all know that blogging has created a bad name over the past few years. This habit of some bloggers stalking celebrities has made blogs look like gossip zones. But today we have many descent blogs writing about important topics on fields like Tech, health,travel and others.


2. Bloggers are rich and famous

Am sure you have spotted several bloggers posing next to celebrities in selfies. High chances, they don’t know each other. It happens in most events.

Its true. Blogging can make you rich but not as easy as most people think. To make sales, sometimes bloggers have to post their best earnings. Its all to earn your trust but they don’t make that much all the time. Blogging has its bad times too.

3. They are trendy

Have you seen how some bloggers dress. Just wait until you spot one on tv. You can confuse them with the older days professors. To some extent bloggers are one of the best critics but that is just for blogging. Their real lives are something different.

4. Blogs are for certain people

There is nothing special about blogging. Anyone can create a blog. Its free by the way. Its your writing skills that matter. Can you be creative are you passionate about blogging? Then you can blog!

5. Blogging is fun

Do you think blogging is fun? Not until you sleep over an article only to get 0 viewers. Blogging is fun when you have 1000 views , 30 comments and maybe 10 direct messages. Its only then that you feel like you are doing something worthwhile.

6. Bloggers know everything

Sometimes bloggers don’t know what they are talking about. but they have to write something to stay ahead of the game. By the time you realise its fake, they will have released another article and that will be real for sure.

7. Blogs are genuine and accurate

It is surprising how most people believe everything they read on blogs. I don’t know. Maybe its because we have grown up in a system which emphasizes on the written word over the spoken one. Some bloggers are just doing marketing while others are just sharing their opinions on various subjects. You don’t have to believe everything.
