So, when we talk of a good YouTube channel, we mean one that can help you through all this process. A good channel should not only teach you how to code html and CSS but also inspire you to keep completing more projects.
When i was trying to learn html and CSS, i happened to come across some really good YouTube channels. In this channels you will find tutorials covering fundamental topics around web design and development.
1. Thenewboston by Bucky Roberts
This channel takes the first place in the list because its best for beginners. Bucky roberts will take you through three tutorials that are very essential to starting and completing your first web design project.
- XHTML and CSS
Its a 3hrs or so tutorial that will take you through all the basics of html and CSS. - BeginnerJavascript and
Its an introduction to javascript. - Bootstrap for beginners
The tutorial is more of an introduction to bootstrap. In this tut you can learn how to create responsive websites by just using bootstrap classes.
One thing you will note (If you watch these tutorials) is that they are for absolute beginners. So you won’t be able to create stunning themes and websites by just watching this tuts. But you will get all the basics you need to qualify you for the next level which is Creating layouts using CSS grids, Flexbox, and media queries. For that you will need channel number 2 in the list, Dev ed.
2. Dev ed by ed
One word for this channel is “Practical” Here you put all your skills into use as Ed takes takes you through different lessons. If you aim to create engaging websites in minutes, then dev ed will show you how. Ed will take you through important topics like
- CSS grids
- CSS animations
- Javascript animations
Another thing about Ed is, he focuses much on the functional side of design. Also, expect a lot of animation tutorials.
3. Easy tutorials
The one word for Easy tutorials is “inspirational” If you want to learn modern, unique and appealing UX design then easy tutorials is the best for you.
Most tuts in easy tutorial cover how you can create a full website with html and CSS. With easy tuts you can start creating professional one page websites both for learning and business. There are also tutorials on how to create specific components and sections of a website. Things like; contact forms, sliders, galleries and navigation bars.
4. Clever Techie
Would you like to create awesome animations using only CSS? Then clever techie is the channel to follow. CT will show you how to create: sliders, responsive menus and other elements without using any javascript.
Another thing you might like about clever techie is how he is able to create awesome components with ease. The tutorials here are quite short and quick to understand. With only CSS, CT will show you how to create sliders, dropdown navigation menu and others.
Though not in the list, another channel i would recommend is LearnWebCode. Its the right channel for those who want to learn Flexbox. After completing all the essential tuts in these channels, you will be creating exceptional websites.
